Most of us tell ourselves that I do things only for myself, it doesn’t matter to me what others think of me! I’m true to myself. And, while this sounds very nice, and certainly may have elements of truth in it, the more accurate picture is that we do things to have others like us.
Despite the fact that the need to be liked is a universal human need; there are some who claim that they don’t care about what other people think; they live life on their own terms, they are authentic to themselves, they don’t worry about whether people like them or not…
And, when we hear such statements, we almost envy the confidence and independence that is projected. So, let's understand the truth behind such statements, and set ourselves FREE!!
